The way back home

Have you defecated 10 times?

Well, assuming you’ve lived over 10 days, which you probably have considering you’re able to comprehend this right now, then obviously you have.

But have you defecated 10 times in the same day?

Well I really hope not, that’s probably really bad and your entire digestive system is screwed and you should see the doctor ASAP.

Anyways…I ended up doing that 11 times yesterday. Go ahead, clap, it’s a new record after-all.

Now one might wonder just what might’ve happened for a young healthy boy of my age to end up in such a predicament…and whether you wondered that or not, I still have an answer just in case.

If the previous day you were starving, bloated, having gastric problems, food poisoned, sleepy, dehydrated, exhausted and clausterphobic, while having muscle spasms…all at the same time…then this much is to be expected.

In Minecraft, there’s a special achievement called “How did we get here?”, which can only be fulfilled by having every single potion effect on you at the same time. This feels kind of the mini version for that, but in real life.

Now…how did I get there? Well since we were heading back from Dwarka to Dubai, we first had a long car ride to the nearest airport around 1.5 to 2 hours away, after a breakfast at 8. The food we had got from the hotel ended up being a raw cheese sandwich and I wasn’t eating that :D

I ended up not eating in the plane either, because guess what? Another raw cheese sandwich! Just the uncooked mozzarella made me feel like crying at the pitiful sight.

Eventually by the time we left Mumbai airport for a breather, reached a dominos and ordered food and got it, it was 3:30.

Behold the hideous sight of the Dominos in Mumbai that we found -

Two bites into my food, my gastric issues had worsened noticeably and I was feeling really bad. Then I stared feeling difficulty in breathing (I’ve never had bloating before in like 5 years now with all my exercising) and then the muscle spasms started. It was honestly terrifying experiencing it for the first time, starting from my fingers down to my legs, it felt like everything was cramping…

In the end I was taken out of this excuse of an eating area and upon reaching open space, I drank through an entire coconut and ended up vomiting all the contents of my stomach. This was followed by abdominal pain, fever and weakness for the rest of the trip back home.

Lesson learnt?

Don’t pretend like you can still eat whatever you want wherever you want. The change in water is alone enough to make my body start acting funny, but eating like I’m a local even though my body is no more used to the food at India will only bring trouble. It’s a miracle I had survived the previous 15 days without a single issue. Also…Its probably a no for dominos, Pizza Hut and McDonald’s now…I don’t consume food from them in Dubai anyways, I should probably stop doing that in India too. And lastly, I need to continue exercising at on vacations too, apart from just the extra walking around.
