First Blog

Hello everyone, my name is Pratyush, my friends have the liberty of calling me whatever they want to call me and they also have a record of abusing those special rights, but I’d appreciate it if everyone else stuck to Pratyush.

Pratypedia happens to be one of the nicknames which has stuck along a lot more than the rest. It is a mix of my name and wikipedia (not encyclopedia, as you’ll understand soon enough). That is because I have a record of always having something to say on everything, but at the same time, just like wikipedia, it isn’t always the most reliable. In the start I thought it was a compliment and my friends thought that I was smart, innocence has its own perks, but soon enough I realized that the intentions behind the nickname were very different. It was more of a “ok, we heard you, you can shush now” indicator in the start, but that didn’t work out for them, so even though the purpose wasn’t fulfilled, the name stuck. And over these 3 years, I have started to take a liking to it. It is also my go to whenever my name ‘Pratyush’ isn’t available.

My blog has been pending for quite a while and I thought that in my free time during IB Bridge, I should finally get this done. I don’t exactly have a theme in mind, nor will I be restricting myself with one. Instead, I plan on using this as a means of expressing myself, sharing glimpses of what happens inside my head. I also need to work on my writing skills, and hopefully this forces me to improve and develop my writing style, so never think twice before giving me criticism or advice. I’m not easily offended, so no need to worry about being frank or blunt. Lastly, I’m trying to condition myself to get comfortable with putting myself out there, online. Due to past experience and the advice given to me by my seniors and adults, I’m pretty paranoid about my digital footprint, hopefully that changes too.

As far as my own introduction is concerned, you’ll figure out my interests from my blogs to come. I like to think that I’m confident and a good leader, and have good people and communication skills. I’m good at academics (if that still matters to people nowadays). I am also an introvert and love one to one deep conversations and sending people comics to start conversations. According to my class mates, my sense of humor is the saddest thing they came across in life so far, and I’m also memed quite often whenever I’m not surrounding myself with my ‘serious’ aura, but hey, at least I learnt not to take myself too seriously, even if in a way I wouldn’t have preferred.

I hope you find something worthwhile to read.

And on a last note, I hate you Saatvik.
